About Us
Alexis M Hunter LLB NP
Believing in the values and benefits to families of family mediation led me to train in 1993 with Family Mediation West, now Relationships Scotland and I still work there as a sessional mediator. I am also a Family Law Mediator and a member of CALM and accredited since 1996 by the Law Society of Scotland as a family law mediator. I am a member of the Family Law Association.
I am a graduate of the University of Strathclyde and was a part time tutor in Domestic Relations at the Law School for fourteen years. I occasionally lecture for other organisations including Relationships Scotland.
I have worked in different areas of law including residential and commercial property, trusts and executries as well as general litigation including overseas where I re-qualified at the Kenya Bar.
I have over twenty years’ experience in family law and have been in
practice on my own for six years.
Before work I enjoy walking my dogs who sometimes accompany me to work on quiet days. I love travelling on holiday and returning to different parts of Africa. A lot of my spare time is spent with my extended family and friends. I like nothing better than preparing and cooking for a loud noisy family party. My local rugby club and scout group have my support and I enjoy outdoor activities
