Funding
It is important to us that fees charged to you are a fair and reasonable account of the work completed on your behalf.
We have an independent law accountant who prepares our fees on an itemised basis, usually at the conclusion of matters and charge interim fees as we go along. It is normally the case that fees are charged depending on the amount of time spent on each case. On some occasions, it may be possible to provide a quote for a specific type of action such as an undefended Divorce.
We are happy to discuss how you can manage to fund your legal fees. Please contact us for more information on quotes for work and on our hourly charges. Legal Aid is available from the Scottish Legal Aid Board in a limited number of cases. We are happy to discuss this in more detail with you should you feel that you may be eligible for this.
Identification
In accordance with Law Society regulations, we require to see two forms of identification from all new clients. This must include one form of photographic identification, preferably a full National Passport or full Driver's Licence and an additional form of identification which has proof of your current address such as a utility bill, council tax bill, bank or credit card statement. Also, if we are to make an application to the Scottish Legal Aid Board on your behalf, we require evidence of your income or benefits.
We regret that we are unable to progress matters for new clients until we have the two required forms of identification.
